Our NCBC Youth is a group aimed at young people aged 11-18 and we meet together every Sunday morning during the 10:15 service.
The focus on a Sunday is to:
· Provide fun and interactive learning with an opportunity to learn together,
· Help the young people in learning and understanding the Bible more for themselves,
· Give them an opportunity to discuss and understand some of the issues which they, as young people, might experience now or in the future (or in their past),
· Build and strengthen relationships within the group whist also looking outwards to connect with other young Christians within Norwich by joining together for joint youth events,
· To remind them of how God views them as opposed to how society views them and they might view themselves
· To ensure that every session is firmly rooted in what the Bible has to say and in the personal journeys faced by God’s people all those years ago,
· To provide the young people with the opportunity to tap into the amazing talents and gifts that God has given them and what contributions each individual can offer both within the church and within their school and family communities.
· To provide opportunities for the young people to meet up and have fun together in a more informal context.
We will be organising social events over the course of the coming year and are currently in the process of choosing a name for our youth so watch this space to see what exciting events are coming up and which catchy name the young people decide on for their group…
