“Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.” Ephesians 6 v 18
Prayer should be a vital part of the Christian life and as a church we seek to take it very seriously. Here are some of the ways in which you can share in the prayer life of the church…
‘Encounter’ – 7:30pm-9:15pm on the first Wednesday of every month
We encourage as many people as possible to join us for this evening of prayer and worship together as it is right at the heart of our life together. The format varies in style from month to month and may include singing, bible readings, individual, small and large group prayer.
The Monthly Prayer Diary
The prayer diary offers daily prayers to encourage the church family to pray for each other as well as for local, national and international issues. The diary lists names of families and individuals from the church‘s contact list in alphabetical order. This ensures that everybody is prayed for at some point throughout the year. Please look out for your prayer diary every first Sunday of each month or pick one up from the Welcome Desk.
Prayer Chain – quickly get as many people praying as possible. The Prayer line is a means of passing round requests for prayer by text, telephone or e-mail. If you would like to be part of a chain or send a prayer request, simply text 07999 590015, call: 01603 762270 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Prayer Board
Located near the entrance to the church, you can post your own requests and pray for the requests of others.
Prayer on Sunday
“For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20
Before each morning service there are people who gather to pray in Room 3. Join us at 10:15am as we offer our time together to God.
Prayer requests are included during each of our services. If you have a request, there is a book on the table in the foyer. Alternatively speak to one of our ministers at any time before the service. There is a prayer ministry team available after each service to pray with anyone who requests it. Many find it helpful to share with someone else who will pray for them and their situation. Anointing with oil is available if you would like.
Prayers at Home
“Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the Church to pray over him and anoint him with oil.” James 5 v 14
In line with Scripture, the elders are available to pray over you at church or at home if you are unable to get to church, please speak to one of the church leaders.
