Guess the number of sweeties in the jar

Thank you to everyone who had a go at guessing the number of sweets in the jar.  This raised over £100 and the correct number was 537.  Congratulations to the winner, one of the parents who attends the mid-week parents and toddler group, Cafe Tots.

As well as our street collection for Christian Aid Week (14th – 20th May) there’s lots more going on to raise money for Christian Aid.  Over £300 was raised from donations on Sunday 14th May for Steve Gaskin’s home made muffins and cakes (yum yum) and £1,000 was raised at the Quiz Night in April.

On Saturday 3rd June a team of us got together to host a Curry and Games night to raise funds for Christian Aid.  Around 20 people attended and had a great feast of Curry, rice, and freshly baked naan bread.  Then the games began with groups taking part in various things such as Dobble and Bendominos.  We raised over £150 for Christian Aid and a great time was had by all.

Ladies’ Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea in May was another big success with over 30 ladies attending – we are looking forward to the next one on the 8th July!  See the Ladies Social page for information about 2017 plans.

The Crib Blog

Jenny has been busy writing a brilliant blog for the families of children in The Crib so they can see what the children are doing each week, and also to help anyone else who is looking for inspiration.  You can read it here and also from The Crib page.
